Article 1 – Purpose

These terms of sale define the contractual relationship between the seller and the buyer and the conditions applicable to any purchase made through the seller’s website, whether the buyer is a professional or a consumer. The purchase of a product or service through via the platform www.billetweb.fr implies the buyer’s unconditional acceptance of these terms of sale.

Article 2 – Mandate Agreement Between Mind & Market ASBL and Global Shapers Brussels Hub

Mind & Market ASBL acts as a financial mandatary (mandataire) for Global Shapers Brussels Hub under a formal Mandate Agreement dated February 10, 2025. The Mandator (Global Shapers Brussels Hub), being an informal group with no legal entity, has designated Mind & Market ASBL to manage and disburse sponsorship funds on its behalf.

Under this agreement, Mind & Market ASBL exclusively provides financial sponsorship management services. This includes:

  • Receiving and holding funds on behalf of Global Shapers Brussels Hub.
  • Issuing invoices where required (if permitted by the Mandatary’s legal status).
  • Processing payments and disbursements upon the Mandator’s written request.
  • Providing financial reports and maintaining proper records.

Mind & Market ASBL is not responsible for:

  • Any operational, organizational, or contractual obligations of Global Shapers Brussels Hub.
  • Any debts, financial mismanagement, or disputes arising from sponsorship agreements between Global Shapers Brussels Hub and third parties.
  • Any legal claims against Global Shapers Brussels Hub relating to its activities, communications, or commitments made to sponsors, vendors, or attendees.

Article 3 – Prices

The prices of products and services displayed on the platform www.billetweb.fr are stated in euros, inclusive of all taxes (VAT and other applicable taxes where relevant). No specific certification other than an invoice will be issued. The seller reserves the right to modify its prices at any time. However, the applicable prices for an order are those in effect at the time of confirmation. The independent payment platform, separate from Mind & Market ASBL, remains solely responsible for financial transactions and assumes all liability related to these transactions, including the storage and transmission of payment and identification information.

Article 4 – Withdrawal Period

In accordance with Article VI.53 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law, the buyer does not have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days. Any sale made via the website is final.

Article 5 – Use of the Ticket

The consumer purchasing a ticket must present themselves on the day of the event with the ticket that has been sent to them. This ticket grants a single-entry admission to the event. The buyer is responsible for keeping the ticket safe until the event date. It must not be duplicated or photocopied. Due to its unique number, only the first person presenting the ticket will be granted access to the event.

Article 6 – Ticket Resale

The buyer is strictly prohibited from transferring the purchased event ticket for any form of financial compensation without prior approval from the organizers. If the buyer wishes to resell the ticket after purchase, prior written authorization from Mind & Market must be obtained before the transaction.

Article 7 – Event Cancellation

If the event is canceled due to force majeure or a serious cause beyond the control of the organizers, payments will not be refunded.

Article 8 – Liability and Limitations

Mind & Market shall only be liable in cases of gross negligence (faute lourde) or willful misconduct (dol) as defined under Belgian Civil Code (Article 1382 et seq.).

The seller, within the framework of online sales, is only bound by a best-efforts obligation. The seller cannot be held liable for damages resulting from the use of the Internet, including but not limited to loss of data, hacking, viruses, service interruptions, or other unintentional issues.

To the maximum extent permitted by Belgian and EU law, Mind & Market shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect damages, including but not limited to financial or commercial losses, reputational damage, loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of data.
  • The buyer’s inability to access the event due to personal reasons, force majeure, or third-party actions beyond the seller’s control.
  • The unavailability of the website due to technical issues, maintenance, or external circumstances beyond the seller’s control.

To the extent permitted by Belgian and EU law, the seller’s total liability shall in no case exceed the total amount paid by the buyer for the disputed transaction.

Article 9 – Personal Data

All personal data necessary for processing an order is stored by the seller or its employees and may be shared with companies with which the seller – or its suppliers – collaborates when such communication is necessary for order processing. Additionally, the user allows the seller to use this data for statistical purposes to improve its website, products, and services.

The seller complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679). Buyers have the right to access, correct, delete, and object to the processing of their personal data by contacting [email protected].

Article 10 – Proof and Electronic Communications

The parties agree that electronic communications, including but not limited to emails, digital backups, and electronic transactions, constitute valid legal proof in their interactions.

Article 11 – Image Rights

By participating in an event organized by Global Shapers Brussels hub, the participant grants the organizers the right to use their image on the event’s website. The participant waives any claims against the organizers related to images taken at the event and their dissemination on Global Shapers Brussels Hub’s print and web communication platforms. However, the participant may report to the organizer via [email protected] if an image published on communication platforms is deemed harmful to them.

Article 12 – Force Majeure

The seller shall not be held liable for any breach of obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, natural disasters, war, pandemics, regulatory changes, terrorist attack or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, the seller reserves the right to suspend or cancel affected orders or events without liability.

Article 13 – Disclaimer Regarding Volunteer Contributions

The organizing team of Shape Europe & Eurasia 2025 consists of volunteers who provide information and assistance to participants in good faith. Mind & Market cannot be held liable for any inaccuracies, omissions, or misinterpretations in the information provided by Global Shapers Brussels Hub volunteers, whether orally, in writing, or through any other communication channel.

Furthermore, Mind & Market does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any advice, guidance, or statements made by members of the organizing team. Participants and buyers are responsible for independently verifying any information before making decisions based on it.

Article 14 – Health & Safety

Participation in Shape Europe & Eurasia is at the attendee’s own risk. While the organizers strive to ensure a safe environment, Global Shapers Brussels Hub and Mind & Market cannot be held liable for any accidents, injuries, illnesses, or medical incidents occurring before, during, or after the event.

Attendees must:

  • Comply with event safety protocols and follow instructions from organizers, security personnel, or emergency services.
  • Be responsible for their own health and physical condition, including assessing whether they are fit to participate in event activities.
  • Take personal precautions, such as avoiding hazardous areas and reporting safety concerns.

If an attendee engages in reckless, negligent, or dangerous behavior, Mind & Market reserves the right to remove them from the event without refund.

Global Shapers Brussels Hub and Mind & Market recommend that attendees carry their own health and accident insurance, as it does not provide coverage for personal injuries or medical expenses.

In case of an emergency, attendees must follow the instructions provided by the organising team, security personnel, or emergency services. Global Shapers Brussels Hub and Mind & Market are not responsible for personal belongings lost, stolen, or damaged during the event.

Article 15 – Insurance

Mind & Market holds public liability insurance covering damages arising from organizational faults in accordance with Belgian legal requirements. However, this coverage does not extend to:

  • Personal injury due to third-party actions, self-inflicted harm, or attendee negligence.
  • Health insurance to cover medical expenses in case of illness or emergency.
  • Travel insurance for transportation disruptions, cancellations, unforeseen circumstances, or external logistical issues.
  • Loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings.
  • Liability insurance for damages caused to third parties.

Attendees are solely responsible for securing their own health, accident, travel, and liability insurance. By attending the event, they acknowledge that Mind & Market assumes no financial responsibility for incidents not directly caused by its gross negligence or misconduct.

Article 16 – Event Safety and Emergency Response

Global Shapers Brussels Hub shall:

  • Implement appropriate risk management and emergency response plans in coordination with venue operators.
  • Provide on-site medical assistance where legally required.
  • Ensure that security personnel are available to manage crowd control and safety procedures.

However, Global Shapers Brussels Hub and Mind & Market cannot be held responsible for:

  • The effectiveness of emergency medical responses provided by third parties.
  • Delays in medical assistance due to external circumstances.
  • Decisions made by attendees that increase risk (e.g., ignoring safety instructions).

Attendees acknowledge that emergency services and medical staff operate independently and that Global Shapers Brussels Hub and Mind & Market cannot guarantee immediate intervention in all circumstances.

Article 17 – Changes to These Terms

The seller reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any modifications shall be applicable as soon as they are published on www.mindandmarket.com. Buyers are encouraged to regularly review these terms. Continued use of the website after modifications implies acceptance of the updated terms.

Article 18 – Validity and Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found unenforceable under Belgian or EU law, the remaining provisions shall remain valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted.

Article 19 – Dispute Resolution

These terms of sale are governed by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will first attempt to resolve the issue amicably. If conciliation fails, the french speaking courts of Brussels shall have jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by mandatory legal provisions.
