Project description

Croptic helps arable farmers and contract sprayers detect weeds using drone imagery and AI. From drone footage, we generate task/spray maps within 24–48h that steer their existing sprayers to treat only the weed-infested zones — no hardware changes, compatible with all major sprayer brands. 2025 results: 40+ customers, 1,500+ hectares treated, and up to 95% reduction in crop-protection products. Crops: sugar beet, potato, onion, cereals, grassland and many more , across Belgium and the Netherlands.

Issue addressed by the project

Farmers spray their entire fields even though weeds don't grow everywhere, wasting crop-protection products, time and money, with a significant environmental impact.

Solution(s) brought by the project

• Precision spray maps built from drone imagery and AI that show exactly where to treat. They drive existing sprayers (all brands, no extra hardware) and are delivered within 24–48h, cutting herbicide use by up to 95%.
